Dr. Wendy Fuduric

I grew up in Wapakoneta on a small family farm. After graduating from Ross University and completing clinical rotations at the University of Illinois, I entered Veterinary Medicine in 2001. I practiced large and small animal medicine after graduation, before moving to Canada with future husband Joe to work at his family’s emergency practice. We then decided to look into practice ownership together. We purchased Heidt Veterinary Hospital in 2004 from Dr. Kermit Heidt, who opened the practice in 1958. My Veterinary Medicine start was as a high school student cleaning kennels for Dr. Heidt.

Joe and I have a family of three daughters, three cats and two dogs. I enjoy traveling, the outdoors, sports and gardening. My lifelong dream was always to work with animals. I am privileged to be able to care for pets along with the most talented and dedicated staff in the area. I feel blessed to be able to fulfill my career dream with my husband Joe.

Dr. Joe Fuduric

I was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and completed my undergraduate studies at University of Windsor. I attended the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with a clinic year at the University of Illinois. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing with my daughters and playing tennis and golf. Living in Lima has been very enjoyable. I’ve met many wonderful people, and Lima is a great place to raise a family. Practicing Veterinary Medicine is rewarding, and we have been very fortunate to have a staff that has excellent skills and passion for each and every pet.

Dr. Danielle Steffan

Danielle grew up in a small town west of Columbus. She traveled to Lima often to visit her aunt. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Findlay. She graduated in 2002 with her bachelors degree. Danielle traveled to Iowa to work on a dairy farm. She attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine to earn her DVM in 2007. Danielle practiced in Pennsylvania for three years before returning to Ohio. She has been at Heidt since 2012. Danielle enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. She lives in Findlay with her husband, son, two dogs, and two cats. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

I started my career at Heidt Veterinary Hospital in 1979. I was very fortunate to work for Dr. K.R. Heidt for 25 years as a Registered Animal Health Technician. After Dr. Heidt sold his practice to Drs. Fuduric, I stayed on as a Technician/Office Manager. Dr. Heidt, Dr. Joe and Dr. Wendy all share many of the same values. I believe clients bring their pets to us because of our professional knowledge, compassion and honesty. I find my job enjoyable due to our great staff and wonderful clients.
