Veterinarians

Wendy Fuduric, DVM

Dr. Wendy Fuduric attended Ross University of Florida. She has been practicing since 2001 and has been a veterinarian at Heidt Veterinary Hospital since July 2004.

She prides herself on finding creative solutions to difficult problems, whether medical or surgical, to accommodate families and their cherished pets.

In her free time, she likes to go on jogs with her dog and spend time with her family outside. She adores the community and her workplace, where people are friendly and appreciative.

Education: Ross University of Florida

Joe Fuduric, DVM

Dr. Joe Fuduric attended Ross University of Florida and did his Clinical at University of Illinois. He has been practicing since 2001 and at Heidt Veterinary Hospital since July 2004. He specializes in small animal medicine. Joe prides himself on always working hard with our amazing staff to provide each patient with great care.

His mission is to provide the best veterinary care to each patient and educate the clients. He has met many wonderful people through the community and thinks Lima is an excellent place to raise a family.

In his free time, he likes spending time with his three daughters and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Emily M. Augsburger, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Emily M. Augsburger attended Ohio State University and has been practicing since 2020. She prides herself on creating a bond with an owner while caring for their fur baby.

She likes cycling, hiking, wine tasting, and puzzles in her free time.

Education: Ohio State University

Dr. Danielle Steffan, Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Danielle Steffan has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2007 and has been a doctor at Heidt Veterinary Hospital since 2013. Danielle attended University of Findlay as an undergraduate and Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine for her doctorate.

She prides herself on her compassion for patients and their owners. It can be upsetting when pets are sick, and she does her best to improve the patient’s health and help their owners in the process. Communication is key to meeting everyone’s needs.

Most of her time is focused on internal medicine, but she also enjoys surgery. She loves to travel with her family and is an avid reader in her free time.

Leadership

Jessica, Practice Manager

Jessica Vandenbroek graduated from the University of Findlay and has been with Heidi Veterinary Hospital since December 2022. She takes pride in making sure everyone who walks in the door feels welcomed and that they are a part of the family.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and three little ones on their farm. They raise and show their registered Tunis Sheep nationally. She also loves to craft and be outside as much as possible.

Technicians

Marsha, RVT
Marsha Buettner is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Heidt Veterinary Hospital. She attended Brown Mackie College and has been practicing since 2016.

Marsha prides herself on taking care of pets in need as if they are her own and being there for clients in high-stress situations.

In her free time, she likes crafting, gardening, and spending time with her husband and dogs.

Elisabeth, RVT
Elisabeth Gilroy is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Heidt Veterinary Hospital. She attended the International Business College in Fort Wayne, IN, and has been practicing since 2017.

The clinic is a very busy practice, and Elisabeth prides herself on her ability to multitask the foresee the needs of the clinic and her colleagues.

In her free time, outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her family, and her four-legged friends. She lives on her grandparent’s farm property which was just purchased as their first home. They have been completing renovations to the 1920 farmhouse. She also owns a few goats on the farm who keep her very busy.

Education: International Business College (Fort Wayne, IN).

Hannah , RVT
Hannah Zeller has been an RVT at Heidt Vet Hospital since June 2017 and attended the Vet Tech Institute in Ft. Wayne, IN. She has a lot of pride in her skills in surgery and emergency cases. If not busy with surgery or lab cases, she loves to work on client education. In her free time, she loves going on walks and hikes with her dog Nila or traveling with her husband, Ryan. She is a warm-weather lover and always has a garden bed full of native flowers.

Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant

Jessica, Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant

Jessica Schroeder is a Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant at Heidt Veterinary Hospital. She attended Staitzenberger College and has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost six years. She takes pride in comforting and caring for clients and patients during their hard times, especially end-of-life. She enjoys making patients feel at ease during their visits and client education.

In her free time, Jessica spends time with her friends and family, especially her husband and kids. She enjoys attending and watching sporting events like football, hockey, and baseball. She loves to cook and bake and also travel and experience new adventures.

Erin, Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant
Erin Collins is a Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant at Heidt Veterinary Hospital and has been practicing since July 2022. She attended Ada High School and the University of Northwestern Ohio.

She enjoys being able to help pets and their owners and provide them with the best experience possible.

In Erin’s free time, she enjoys baking, reading, gardening, and being outdoors.

Destiny, Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant
Destiny Askins is a Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant at Heidt Veterinary Hospital. She attended Elida High School and has been in the veterinary medicine field since 2021.

She takes pride in being able to provide the best care possible to each patient, treating them as her own, as well as being able to help with diagnosis properly and efficiently.

During her free time, she likes to try new tricks with her dogs, Momma (9) and Legion (4), and explore new walking places. She occasionally volunteers at her local animal shelter and helps on their family rescue farm.

Maddy
Maddy, Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant

Maddy Moody is a Receptionist/Veterinarian Assistant at Heidt Veterinary Hospital. She attended Colby Community College and has been practicing for one year. She prides herself in caring for patients and helping people in the community.

She enjoys spending time with her two dogs and going on walks in her free time.
