Pet Vaccinations & Preventative Care
We tailor each pet’s vaccination protocol according to his or her needs. We take into account age, exposure, environment, health status, breed, lifestyle, and travel habits. Our veterinarians vaccinate each pet selectively and as infrequently as possible, all while ensuring adequate protection.
Pet Preventative Care
Every patient is an individual and has a unique set of circumstances that may inform us in what their specific preventative care needs might be. Breed, age, lifestyle, health status, diet, reproductive status, and even the accompanying human preference are all factors to consider. We believe that medicine is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. As such, each patient will receive a tailored approach to best meet his or her preventative care needs. We take a team approach, aiming to educate and empower you, our clients, to make the best decisions for your pets’ care based on a variety of factors.
Vaccines protect cats and dogs from a wide range of viral and bacterial infections. Your veterinarian will design a vaccination program for your pet to protect him or her from diseases common in your area. To fully protect kittens and puppies against infections, they frequently require an initial immunization followed by booster shots. Following a proper immunization schedule will ensure that you are contributing to your new friend’s health. We also recommend that all dogs and cats receive monthly parasite prevention and have their parasite levels checked twice a year.
